FRESHWATER FISHES OF SRI LANKA

There are around 91 species of freshwater fishers in sri lanka.. Around 54 species are endemic to the island. In my blog i hope to add details about those endemic and indigenous species...Fist of all, all of us must remember those fishes are belongs to Nature. So we should protect them as well as protecting there Habitats. In sri lanka we can find around 21 Families of fresh water fishes and some endemic families as well. Following picture are related to some endemic species.
