Description: Puntius dorsalis is greenish brown dorsally. The sides are golden. There is a faint black blotch about the size of the eye on the caudal peduncle.
Size: Upto 25cm
Habitat: Flowing water bodies with slit and sand
Breeding: Typical of barbs
