Description: Heteropneustes microps is very similar to H. fissilis except for the confluence of its caudal and anal fins, which in fossils are sperate. The maximum size attained is significantly less than that of fossilis.

Habitat: rivers, tanks , pools with muddy water
Breeding: egg leyers
